30 Days Wild – Day 6: Strawberries

This morning I checked on the progress of all our growing plants after the windy day yesterday. A few plants had been knocked over but nothing that couldn’t be easily set to right.

We have quite a few small edible crops on the go at the moment: runner beans, peppers, grapes, sunflowers, various herbs, potatoes and, most exciting of all, strawberries.

The strawberry plants are in various stages, some still with buds while others have fruit starting to ripen. I don’t think our crop will be big enough to make jam, but I guess I’ll just have to settle for eating them all on their own the moment they are ripe enough… poor me!
