Pollinators come in a range of shapes and sizes from bumblebees to butterflies, moths and of course honey bees.
We depend on pollinators for much of our food including apples, pears, strawberries, plums, peas, beans, and for other important plants like wildflowers.
But our pollinators are falling in numbers and are in severe decline across Buckinghamshire and nationally.
You can help!
Encouraging more pollinators is something everyone can do. Can you grow some wildflowers in your patch, leave wild plants to flower, improve a hedgerow, dig a pond or create places for insects to live?
For ideas of what you can do please look at our “how you can help” page, download our Posters, or find inspiration from our Case Studies. Please let us know what you do and how you get on by sending us details of your project and download a certificate to celebrate!
Looking for free wildflower seeds?
Bucks Buzzing is currently in hibernation, but we’ll be sending out free seeds again soon. Want to get a head start? Submit your garden photograph or story about how you’re helping pollinators to Your Projects and we’ll contact you as soon as the seeds are ready.
Thank you for helping.
