Biodiversity Opportunity Areas Volunteering Project

The Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Biodiversity Action Plan “Forward to 2020” identified Biodiversity Opportunity Areas (BOAs) as key to the creation of ecological networks. The project seeks to develop an overview of environmental volunteering in Buckinghamshire and promotes and supports the work of the local network of volunteers and volunteering organisations.

Outputs

Ten practical workday sessions including more than 100 volunteers from up to ten different organisations, evaluation of collaborative working and opportunities in BOAs at a workshop, and delivery of a report on lessons learned and next steps for increased collaborative projects in BOAs.The Project Report is available here: Project Report – BOA Volunteering Pilot.
